up and at em

i rolled myself out of my warm bed and geared up for a morning constitutional with temps in the mid-teens. my route was my five mile loop that has three significant hills to navigate. overall, the footing was pretty good as there was a thin layer of snow over the iced over streets. the real danger is running over sections of iced roads that don’t have the snow cover as that’s where you’ll take a spill. regardless, it felt good to get out and about this morning.

my dad started his own running blog at http://tomsrunningtoday.blogspot.com. at the moment, he’s "on the shelf" as he working with his doctor(s) to diagnose the cause of chest pressure he experienced while running the Lakefront Marathon this fall. regardless, i’m looking forward to reading his insights. we talk regularly about all things running and on occasion we actually agree. now that he’s blogging, maybe i’ll be able to read excerpts from his yet to be published book on running.
