blog blew up

not that it’s a big deal…but for whatever reason…my original blog stopped working. i uninstalled and reinstalled the application which got it back…but without the entries i had entered. oh well.

regardless, i’m a little over 6 weeks out from the Lakefront Marathon. i got in 67 miles last week including an 18 miler at 8:30-ish pace. the last 3 1/2 weeks have gone pretty well for training.

normally, i look to the miles per week (mpw) average in the 12 weeks prior to a marathon as a good predictor of performance. i’ve had two BOSTON qualifiers (BQs) after running 617 and 620 miles in the 12 weeks prior. i’m shooting to try and get close to those numbers this time around. i started a bit behind with the first 2 weeks only getting me 65 miles. thereafter, i’ve picked it up and logged some decent efforts. normally i start backing off training about 4 weeks out. i’m planning on training solid up until 2 weeks out this time around. we’ll see what happens.
