running in the rain
just running in the rain…i’m not a fan of running in the rain. thankfully it was in the low sixties this morning so it wasn’t so bad. aside from one cyclist i had the drumlin trail all to myself. in all, i mustered eight miles in a little less than sixty eight minutes and hit the shower. (on wednesday i took the day off from running so i could catch up on sleep)
back to AM running
8/23 – off (did yardwork instead)
8/24 – 7 miles eastbound on the glacial drumlin; noticed four racoons in my subdivision scrambling to avoid being seen
8/25 – 7 miles in town; had to dodge two dogs that wanted to say hello plus a black cat crossed my path
“because i choose to..”
8/20 – 6 (hilly) miles through some newer subdivisions to the west and northwest.
8/21 – 7 miles east on the drumlin to bethesda park and back.
8/22 – 16 miles out (west) and back; Outbound – 67:15, Inbound – 64:26; 8:14 per mile average pace.
MTD – 105 miles
YTD – 868.8 miles
Odometer – 28,976.5 miles
i caught the end of Matrix-Revolutions the other night and used a quote from it for this entry’s title. (hint: why, mr. Anderson, why, why do you persist?)
on the road again
8/17 – 6 miles (really humid)
8/18 – 5 miles (around town)
8/19 – 6 miles (ran a half mile warm up with alia – our six year old – who out sprinted me at the finish)
MTD – 76 miles
YTD – 839.5 miles
Odometer – 28,947.5 miles
