gimme six

this morning was a bit warmer than yesterday but i still opted to over-dress a bit. mid-40’s in the dark is very different than mid-40’s in the sun. i headed east on the glacial drumlin toward town and doubled back after 3 miles so i ended up with 6 miles for the day. for the third day in a row, i skipped wearing a watch so i’m not sure of my pace. for what it’s worth, i felt pretty good coming back in. my legs have a bit more snap in them compared to last week so i’m guessing i’m nearly recovered from marathon #20, just in time for ultramarathon #7.

MTD – 101 miles
YTD – 1,627 miles
Odometer – 27,965 miles

another easy five

i was a bit slow in rolling myself out of bed this morning so i only had time for five miles. for the second day in a row, i left my watch at home and just plodded along.

morning chill

i opted to leave the watch at home and moseyed out for an easy five miles. temps were in the upper 30’s so i wore a hat plus gloves in addition to long pants, long sleeved shirt and a light jacket. i think i woke up after about 3 miles or so and rolled through the last two miles with a bit more spring in my step.

weekend rewind

saturday night we watched a funny movie called "Run Fatboy Run." the plot of the story was essentially about a loveable loser who never saw anything through and he decided he would run a marathon to prove his worth. fun movie.

sunday afternoon i got out for a run and happened upon dave (AKA double) who was running with his dog. i tucked away my headphones and chatted with him for about 2.5 miles. overall i mustered 8 miles in 65:30 then turned my attention to cutting the lawn.

i opted for a little more sleep this morning rather than getting out for a run.

eight is enough

i got going a bit later in the morning than usual. my route today was out west on the glacial drumlin trail and back. the route feels alot different during daylight hours, especially with sunglasses on. regardless, i covered the 8 miles in a few ticks less than 64 minutes and hit the shower.
